Faces Behind Fake Pro-Israel Narrative in Pakistan
Israel has been desperate to normalize ties with Pakistan hoping that if it happens, the other Muslim countries would also follow the suit. However, now the Israeli efforts through the UAE and Saudi Arabia to create compelling conditions against Pakistan to normalize ties, have fallen flat.Pakistani journalists who spoke recently with a Israeli news channel are either tainted with corruption charges or had desperation to come into limelight through controversies. Others like this one, has the dubious history of building up sponsored narratives in a country where people overwhelmingly support Islamic causes.
Any one supporting Israel in Pakistan meets with instant condemnation given Israel’s unending mass killing of Palestinians and their forcible expulsion from the Muslim holy land from 1948 to onwards.The major thrust of the argument of lobbies working for Israeli and its allies has been to cite Arab countries abandoning the cause of Arab nationalism in occupied Palestine for an independent Palestinian state. However, forcing Israel to withdraw from holy Islamic land is, in fact not an Arab cause but a greater cause of Muslim nationalism beyond colour, creed and geography, something which overwhelmingly prevails in Pakistan like elsewhere in the Muslim world.
