Pakistani Journalist Out-Thinks US President on Afghanistan’s Fall to Taliban

The world was stunned on August 15,2021 when the Taliban took over capital Kabul peacefully after recapturing rest of Afghanistan. So was the US President Joe Biden who until July 9, this year was adamant that Taliban’s takeover was not inevitable given the NATO trained 300,000 Afghan National Army’s massive numerical strength and its modern weaponry against 75,000 Taliban fighters. Contrary to Biden’s assessment and thousands of others heavily funded think-tanks the world over, a Pakistani journalist Javed Rana in early December 2019—- three months before the US inked a peace deal with the Taliban—- precisely sequenced and timelined events and political conditions to predict the swift fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban. He analyzed the then least known incapacity and incapability of Afghan army and anti-Taliban—Northern Alliance and reported the then secretive Taliban strategy to announce general amnesty—— to accurately predict the fall of entire war ravaged country to the Taliban “within weeks” once foreign troops exit from Afghanistan. The anchor person of a local Pakistani English news channel shook his head in a disbelief and clearly disagreed with journalist’s assessment. However, now almost two years down the line, his political assessment turned out to be precisely accurate out-thinking well established think-tanks, political experts the world over and more importantly the US President whose assessment is fed by the CIA with over $52.6 billion black budget to gather intelligence and make an assessment on Afghanistan. Broadcast Journalist Javed Rana’s full interview uploaded on December 10, 2021 can be watched on this youtube link ” Peace Deal on Taliban’s Terms & Conditions“.
