Pakistan's
powerful military and its run secret services have been in shock after they met
with a surprise electoral victory of defiant jailed leader and ex Prime
Minister Imran Khan's party. Official and unofficial assessments and analysis
mostly predicted the electoral victory of Muslim League-Nawaz, blue-eyed party
of the military which undoubtedly left no stone unturned by using all conceivable
coercive measures to dismantle the entire structure of Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf
or the PTI of Imran Khan. However, few others were clearly predicting electoral
victory of PTI at least seven months before the holding of general elections on
February 8, 2024.
