Documentary: Pakistan-Afghanistan: From Ally to Adversary

Up to 3 million Afghan refugees are at risk of being deported from Pakistan. Once allies, tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have boiled over in recent months. Skirmishes, airstrikes and blockades have killed dozens in the borders between the two countries.


At the heart of this conflict, is the Tehreek-e-Taliban-Pakistan (TTP), also known as the Pakistani Taliban. The terror group is affiliated with the Afghan Taliban and has recently stepped up attacks on Pakistan targets in their goal to establish a caliphate in the country.


Pakistan accuses Afghanistan of harbouring the TTP, while Afghanistan remains coy about their links to the group. Will border tensions ignite into a wider conflagration? How will the breakdown in Pakistani-Afghani relations impact cross-border economic projects like China's Belt and Ro
